Silvana Tomic Rotim, PhD, (PMP) earned her doctoral degree from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, in 2011. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in 2000, and a management program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, the Faculty of Economics, and the Economic Institute in 1997. She graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in 1995. She completed a management program at the University of Central Lancashire and a one-year management trainer education at OWZ Germany.
With over 20 years of extensive work experience in project management, consulting, and education services for both the public and private sectors, both domestically in Croatia and internationally, she has been focusing on project management, risk management, information security, and business continuity for the last 15 years. She has led over 50 diverse projects, including international and EU projects. She has conducted numerous risk assessments and compliance assessments of business and information systems with international standards (ISO 27001, ISO 27002, ISO 22301, CobIT, etc.). She has conducted over 100 seminars in the areas of project management, risk management, information security, business continuity management, and more. She is also a lecturer at Velika Gorica University and a long-standing member of the Executive Board of PMI Croatia.
She is the author of more than 30 professional and scientific papers, as well as several internal scripts and books in the mentioned fields. She holds the following certifications: PMP – Project Management Professional, Certified Management Trainer, CMC – Certified Management Consultant, Certified Data Protection Officer, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor for information security, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer for information security, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor for business continuity management, CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Lead Cybersecurity Manager, Certified Lead Pen Test Professional, Certified Lead Forensics Examiner, ISO 24762 ICT Disaster Recovery Manager, and others.
Silvana is the leader of the modular program “Project Management ONLINE – Project Management according to PMI methodology” at the Mirakul Education Center.
